Yesterday I went to a slum nearby with my friends to teach children whatever sort of knowledge of have. That was a part of community service that we have to perform under our course.

Our arrival gave a hope to them. The children there seemed interested in learning. One girl came and sat down on the mat as soon as we laid it down. Two boys named Ashu and Yashu showed interest in learning English. Those less privileged children seemed ambitious and with proper guide they can achieve heights.

I narrated the whole visit to my father who himself is a teacher in the same school where those children go. He told me about a girl who is excellent in academics and with proper mentorship can achieve heights in her life.

There are a lot of children in the world who are willing to learn but are unfortunate enough to can’t get out of their situation. Inspite of all the efforts of the people working for them to give them a better life through better education, their situation isn’t improving because of some self centered and selfish people around us.
